Peaches

Update

“I received the Muffin’s Halo for Peaches yesterday!! I have enclosed a picture of her wearing it below. We are taking Peaches camping this weekend and the halo will help her to find her way around the camper. Peaches had a rough start in life, but because of Second Chances for Blind Dogs and Creole Poodle Club, her future will be much happier. She is a sweet dog and we are lucky to have her in our family.

We are so appreciative of your generosity and support. Your efforts will help more blind dogs get adopted. They deserve every chance for people to see how wonderful and adaptive they are!

Thank you so much!”

Backstory

“Peaches was found on a leash that was under the tire of an RV. She was so matted that she had lesions on all four legs. Her eyes had been infected for a long time and the corneas were melting. It was necessary to remove both eyes so that she would not be in pain. I picked her up with the intentions of fostering her for a week for Creole Poodle Rescue. She still had the sutures from the eye removal and was extremely thin. Even with all of the neglect and pain that she had been through, she was still eager for attention and love. And she was home. I couldn’t let her go.

Peaches has been blind for a short time and is still tentative when she walks around the house. She would greatly benefit from a Muffin’s Halo as she adjusts to her surroundings.

Thank you Sharla for all of your help. The Malaseb shampoo has cleared up the skin of Peaches and my terrier who has been suffering for years with skin problems. I am sure that Muffin’s Halo will be a boost to Peaches’ confidence.”
