Update
“Today it is very very cold up here in the mountains so we have made a play room in the garage. Honey luvs to walk and explore. She is not feeling the best yet but on her way. We found a mass on her left upper chest so we are going back to the vet. She is almost over with the Kennel cough. She luvs her Muffin’s Halo, she can walk all over the place with it. “THANK YOU♡♡ EVERYONE ♡♡♡

“Today is Honey’s big day…She is not coughing as much and has her appetite back! And the best part is she has her pink Muffin’s Halo! Now she can go visit the turkeys and navigate the whole yard. She luvs to visit all the chickens also. Honey is doing wonderful with her Muffin’s Halo! “

Backstory
“I saw Hunny posted on Facebook March 2014 from Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter where she was found as a stray. She was a precious little matted girl with a green satin bow in her hair. I knew as soon as I saw her I had to have her. The rescue I was fostering for was pulling a couple dogs an my best friend was going to get them an I told her not to come back without the little blind dog. She just hold me we couldn’t save them all but I had to have her and emailed the shelter about her and told them I wanted her. So she brought her back.
We’re both NICU nurses, she’s retired and I’m still working and was on that day or I would have gone with her. She texted me when she got home and said she didn’t know what I had gotten myself into that she had screamed the whole ride home and hasn’t stopped since she got home.
That night when I picked her up after work she whimpered once when I held her and immediately settled and has been my shadow since that night.
The shelter had told me she was almost blind and toothless. I took her to my Vet the next morning for a check up for my peace of mind. Due to resources the shelter can only covers her basic medical. She was barely 3 lbs an was totally blind an had a mouth full of teeth that were in serious need of a dental but he wanted her to gain some weight before we did her dental. This spring she had her dental and my so called toothless baby had 7 teeth pulled. ”
