Update
Hi Angels Nikki just got her halo today. Thank you so much for Nikki’s halo. She is so comfortable with it.
Backstory
This is Nikki‘s story. Last July my friend Marc was driving and noticed that the car in front of him threw a medium plastic bag in d middle of a busy road in Pasay City.it was nearly hit by a jeep (its a local car). My friend pulled over and went and sew what was inside d plastic bag since it was moving a lot. When he opened it he was surprised to see a small dog. He called me right away to informed me of his discovery.
We brought Nikki to our vet. She was so skinny,full of ticks.When my vet looked at her we found out that she was blind in both eyes,she did not have any front teeth(up and down),we are not sure if it was intentionally removed by previous owner,she has mammary tumor,she was used as a breeding dog and also her body is a bit deformed because she was kept for a very long time in a small cage(that is how most Filipinos keep their dogs in small cages which they can’t hardly move).
After my vets diagnostic, i decided to adopter since i know she will not be able to find a forever home especially with her condition and needs.
I would like to ask for your help since here in the Philippines we do not have stores were we could by halos for blind dogs.i feel sad everytime she bumps on the walls and doors. She has beed through alot for 6-7 years with her privious cruel owner,she diserves to enjoy her remaining years.she loves to walk alotb inside and out side the house even if she bumps her self or falls it will still not stop her from moving and doing her walks. I guess since she was caged for a long time just now she is enjoying her freedom.
