Backstory
“Blake aka Bambi was pulled from a high kill shelter in Clinton Arkansas by Fuzzy Hearts Animal Rescue of Fairfield Bay of whom i am a board member and foster mom for.
Blake was abused and neglected all his life and came into the shelter with diabetes and a heart murmur and also blind . The shelter knew he was blind but didnt know about his heart murmur or diabetes until i pulled him for rescue and got him to the vet.
He was badly emancipated ..Literally skin and bones .I have worked with a diabetic dog before and have been trained to give insulin injections so i would not give up on this sweet boy.
I’m learning at this time to work with him on his blindness ..He does constantly bump into everything and keeps his nose skinned up and his head banged up . He is so smart and brave though . He has learned to climb up the steps by himself so he can follow the sound of my voice back inside after potty breaks .He is still fearful of moving around alot but he goes from front door to his kennel in the kitchen or to the doggy bed by my computer desk with no prompting, So he has learned his way around my home.
Being his foster mother i am praying that we can work with him thru his blindness and find a loving family to whom that doesn’t matter .he deserves all the love he can get after his horrible life .
A Muffin’s Halo would be sure to give him more independence and self confidence to keep him from hurting himself. I also feel it would help him find an adopter. Please help me give this sweet boy a second chance at life and love.:
