Backstory
“We don’t know much about his back story. But we know that the Min Pin Rescue found Mr. Alex in a high kill shelter in South Carolina. They took him out at the last second and brought him to New York.
My husband belongs to a lot of the rescues online and saw his sweet face. My husband and I had a min pin for 14 years and he had just passed away 6 months ago. So when we saw Alex we knew we had to save him.
We were told that he had cataracts but was able to see. When we got him (3-5-16), he can’t see at all. Maybe shadows here and there. The poor thing walks into everything, but he is one happy dog. He took over my couch and blanket and I don’t mind one bit. We also think he can’t hear very well either. But that won’t stop us from loving him and giving him the life he deserves. I just wish we could afford surgery for him but that is not an option right now. I really hope you consider Alex in getting a Halo.
My husband lost his job and my transmission went in my car. It’s been very difficult for us right now, so buying one would have to wait. But thank you so much for letting me tell you his story. He really is a sweet boy and we do love him dearly. We just wish he could see better.
Mr. Alex does sleep a lot but when he is awake boy does he love to eat and jump around waiting for his dinner. He doesn’t play with any toys but he walks around and around and around. I think he is learning the lay out of the apartment. He does this bunny rabbit stance as well. It’s the cutest thing ever! And when he wiggles his tail, his entire bum wiggles too.
Thank you and God bless you for all you do.”
