Thank you everyone! All the angels who helped my boy have his halo. He’s been whizzing around the garden at home! It’s fab!

Hi Everyone, we have finally got Cody’s halo after our post office mislaid it! So he’s had his fist session with it this afternoon in the garden. We will get some film footage to show you. It’s such a clever invention! We love it and it will keep Cody so safe from bumping his poorly eyes and face.

Omg! Thank you so so much, I’m blubbing again! After reading all your beautiful comments on his post I was already crying. This will mean so much to him, I’m hoping it will make him confident while out walking. I wish he understood English so I could tell him all about Muffins Halos.

Backstory
Cody is a hunting dog and was shot in the face and all down his back, luckily it didn’t kill him but did blind him in both eyes. He was found and taken to the pound where a very kind lady spotted him, he was pacing around his pen bashing into the cage walls. If he wasn’t removed then his chances of survival were slim to none. I saw a picture of his face and saw his blinded eyes and straight away knew I wanted to help him. I wanted to be his eyes for the rest of his life! He flew into Gatwick airport last August and we had a long trip back home, he was terrified and confused. Once home we introduced him to our other four dogs at 2am! It was a bit hectic and our dogs were very excited to have a new buddy. Cody has his paws firmly under our table and he will be part of our family for the rest of his life. He adores everyone and is happy meet and greet anyone who comes his way, he’s only approx 3yrs so has lots of years of fun ahead of him.
We were hoping one of his eyes could be saved but after two vet checks it can’t, both eyes are damaged so severely, our vet is holding off removing them as he has pellets still in there. At home he’s quite confident and can even fetch a ball by listening to the sound, but when we are out and about he bumps into things, I really feel for him. I do wish dogs could talk and tell you how they feel.
I would love to get him a Muffin’s Halo, but at the moment I cannot afford it.
