Backstory

“Annie had lived with many families when we rescued her. She had belonged to several Marine Corp families and the family that had her at the time was getting ready to deploy and were taking her to the shelter. But we got to her before that happened. She was half starved when we got her and had been treated not well.

She spent the first few months cowering whenever she heard loud noises…in my opinion she was yelled at a lot. She was so scared. But with time she came around and started to gain weight. The other dog she lived with before she came to live with us would not let her eat…he was bigger and always took her food.

We have had Annie for almost seven years now. About a year ago, Annie developed diabetes…and two months later was completely blind. She is on insulin twice a day now. She is constantly bumping into things. She loves to be with us but has no confidence anymore. It is so sad to see how she has changed. She was such an active girl until this happened. I know a Muffin’s Halo would make her life much easier for her. She is such a good girl. She is our baby. Thank you for considering helping her.”
