Update
“I have been following Muffins Halo Facebook page for some time now. It’s a page for people with blind dogs created by a lady who designed the halo for her dog Muffin. About two weeks ago I was shocked to learn that a lady had donated to get Mason a halo. Here he is showing it off. Thank you Muffin’s Halo and the angel who donated for him to get one. Please look at the video on my timeline. I was unable to tag you for some reason. Might be because it was done with my phone.”
Backstory
“Mason lost his eye sight back in January of this year to a condition called Retina detachment. After taking him to the specialist, we had been told he lost sight in his left eye way before January because the blood vessels in his eye were dead. The right eye could have had surgery but the out come was not favorable for him getting his sight back. We mourned for him for 2 weeks.
Finally I told my husband that we needed to stop because Mason would pick that up and become depressed himself. There had been too many negatives that out weighed the positives. Before Mason lost his sight, he did everything. He walked 3 miles a day with us, he would play and do hot laps, the grand kids would play with him allot and he loved that. He was visually stimulated, he knew what cows and deer were, if you mentioned someones name, he would look right at them.
His best friend is a Chinese Sharpe` named Jake. Mason is my service dog as well. I have 3 conditions in which he helps me with. Now i am his service human, he means so much to me and goes every place i go. We have a stroller for him now since he cant see. We try to walk with him and he is ok for maybe a 1/2 mile then he has to ride.”
