Update
Quinn got his halo just in time for his trial adoption tomorrow! Thank you so much-hopefully his halo not only makes life easier but is his lucky charm in finding a forever home!
Backstory
“Quinn (formerly know as King) was adopted from the PSPCA in 2008. This past June he was surrendered to Philadelphia’s animal control center (Philly ACCT) in terrible, neglectful condition. He was SEVERELY emaciated, matted all over every inch of his body, had open wounds all over his face with maggots living in them, and untreated chronic dry eye that had progressed into painful, irritated, eyes.
He was transferred to the PSPCA as a cruelty case where they tried tirelessly to improve his eye condition but after almost 2 months of trying, there was no improvement due to how long he had been untreated. He went to see a top ophthalmologist at Penn animal hospital where it was determined the best decision for Quinn was to remove both of his eyes as they were only hurting him & decreasing his quality of life.
He lived in the shelter hospital from June 2015-September 2015 where the very kind vet staff fell in love with him & nursed him back to health. He was recently finally eligible to leave the hospital & he was welcomed into City of Elderly Love rescue & into our home as our foster. He is still getting his bearings so he’s scared to walk a lot and we think this halo will GREATLY improve his life!
He improves a little each day but we think this halo will increase his confidence & decrease his fear! We are so very grateful. He’s such a sweet dog despite all he’s been through.”
