Update
“Ruby’s Halo arrived yesterday afternoon. She had a vet visit scheduled so she wore it to her appointment. She has adjusted really well to it in less than 24 hours.
Ruby & I would like to thank all of the angels at Second Chances For Blind Dogs for donating to help blind dogs earn their halos. Ruby would personally give you all kisses if she could! She is the Queen around here and I do believe she considers this Halo her very own crown!”

Backstory 12-26-15
“I have been looking for something to help my Ruby. She has lost her eyesight due to cataracts. The vet can’t help her surgically because of a bad heart. I volunteer for a local rescue organization as a foster mom so I have a lot of dogs I care for. Ruby is a 10 year old Boston Terrier that I adopted 5 years ago from another rescue. She also has a digestive disorder called Lymphangiectasia which prevents her from absorbing nutrients from her food. She has lost a lot of weight because of this. It has made her very frail, weak and thin but she is a fighter and rallies on. Bostons have very buggy eyes and I am concerned that she will bump into something and injure the eye. I hope you will consider Ruby for a halo. Thank you!”
