Backstory
“Wasi is a female Shepherd mix maybe 10 years old who went blind a year ago. Wasi is very hesitant to even go on her walks. I think it’s because she can’t see what is in front or around her. She goes outside and bumps in to the barbecue and anything that she comes in contact with. I have put bubble wrap around furniture and walls and while it helps some,the poor thing still runs in to walls.
My son John who is disabled, rescued Wasi from the Animal Shelter 9 years ago and she has been a positive and loyal emotional support companion/service dog to him. I told our veterinarian about my sons dog being blind and he gave us a couple of sheets of paper with information about the Muffin’s Halo and he said that he went to a convention and heard about it helping blind dogs to become more confident with their mobility.”
